Research Question: What is the impact of SIP presence on visitors' experiences? In this project, a group of four graduate students in Museology will work with Pacific Science Center to conduct a year-long evaluation of the Science Interpreter Program (SIP) and its impact on visitor experiences. SIP is the program that places trained volunteers and paid staff (from teens to retirees) on the floor to interpret science to the visitors. New Directions is a grant-funded program for the UW Museo program to increase students' knowledge of and skills in evaluation during their studies.
